A MERE DELIGHT

The performance uses the Myth of the Androgyne, taken from the book "The Symposium" by the Greek philosopher Plato, as a backdrop to then arrive at the questioning of our unsettling search for love.

It is in human nature to seek in another something that is lacking in order to feel fulfilled, projecting onto another person the need to complete oneself. And it is about this human characteristic that the Myth of the Androgyne deals with: Complete and almost perfect beings, who were split in half by the gods and, feeling mutilated, wander throughout their lives in search of their other half.

But do we really need another person to feel happy and complete? Is romantic love the solution to our restlessness? Is it by loving and being loved by another person that we will achieve our own fulfillment? These are some of the questions raised by the show. For us, love is much greater and goes far beyond the need to merge with another. We will only feel truly fulfilled when we find what we need within ourselves. And then we will truly love, in its true form. And we will become self-satisfied and complete beings.

And it is through fleeting encounters and mere delights that the spectacle attempts to construct the true meaning of feeling fulfilled.
