Valeska Vaishnavi was born in Rio de Janeiro and has been based in Goiânia since 2002. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from UniverCidade (Faculdade da Cidade – RJ).
She was a member of the Ballet Flamenco Victoria Nunez and Dani Lima Dance Company.
She joined the cast of Quasar Dance Company (GO) from 2002 to 2019, taking part in tours throughout Brazil and in Portugal, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Denmark, Spain, Belgium, the USA, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, French Guiana, Mexico, Panama, Namibia, China, Thailand, and Vietnam. She participated in 10 productions and performed in 15 of the Company’s works.
Valeska is the founder of Nalini Dance Company, where she works as director, choreographer, and performer.
She received the Best Choreographer Award at the Goiás International Dance Festival (2018) and at the Minas Dance Circuit (2023).
She was nominated for Best Dancer at the 2019 Cesgranrio Dance Awards.
She was granted the 2021 Cultural Achievement Diploma by the Jaburu Award of the state of Goiás.

The COMPANY

Founded in 2016 by Valeska Vaishnavi and based in Goiânia, Nalini Dance Company features four works in its repertoire.
 

The Company has been part of the programming of major cultural events, including:

Brasil Cena Aberta – BCA (SP); Terça no Teatro at SESI GO; Cena Cumplicidades International Festival (PE); Aldeia SESC Arts Showcase; Monologue Festival (CE); Mova-se International Festival (AM); Bauru Performing Arts Festival – FACE (SP); Maringá Dance Invitation (PR); Velha Joana Festival (MT); UFSJ Winter Festival (MG); Maranhão Dance Week (MA); Goiânia em Cena International Festival; Festival do Triângulo Showcase (MG); SESI Dance Showcase (GO); SESC Centro Theater; Garanhuns Winter Festival (PE); MARTE – Integrated Theatre Arts Showcase (PB); Paralelo 16 (GO), among others.
 

Nalini Dance Company has been awarded funding from the Goiás Arts and Culture Fund, the Goiânia Municipal Cultural Incentive Law, and Funarte, and received the Best Performance Award at the IX Fortaleza Monologue Festival (CE).

The Company also took part in the business rounds of the Brazil Creative Industries Market – MICBR in the 2023 and 2025 editions, promoted by the Ministry of Culture and the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI).
